Arduino Introduction workshop

arduinoHTML

Arduino is a platform that allows us to develop our own projects. To build complex hardware and software prototypes in any discipline with only a little knowledge, and create it in an agile, quickly and cheaply way. The distinguishing feature of Arduino is the large open community willing to share knowledge and facilitate development. Only a computer, an Arduino board, and a desire to explore a new world is necessary.

Next course: 7th of May (80 €)

What is the course about?

  • Introduction to Arduino world and its community.

  • Getting to know the Arduino platform and Shields projects.

  • Introduction to programming through Arduino.

  • Introduction to Arduino IDE (interface) and its tools.

  • Operators and basic syntax of C.

  • Breadboards usage.

  • Basic Electronics: use of LEDs and resistors.

  • Management of ports (inputs / outputs) of Arduino board.

  • Animating a LED array

Important Note: Attendees should bring a laptop.

Addressed to:

The workshop is addressed to the creative and curious ones and anyone who wants to learn about this new technology. No prior knowledge or Arduino programming is necessary.

The professor will teach the course contents and make explanations of all the steps but the course is designed as a workshop where attendees must complete all the steps with their own hardware.

LWorkshops will be taught by two teachers and all necessary materials will be provided.

The course will explain how to install the Arduino and all the necessary applications. Course documentation will also be delivered to attendees.

Each student must bring their own computer (Microsoft / MAC / Linux)

Arduino Post-Introduction workshop

Once developed the first steps in Arduino, this workshop will open the doors to a variety of input and output devices that greatly enrich the possibilities of interaction with the arduino’s world. It will show the possibilities offered by input sensors such as sonar to measure distances, microphones, real-time clocks, and will interact with output elements such as OLED, LED strips and servo motors. Finally we will develop a small Android application that allows us to exchange information between the smartphone and the Arduino board. Specifically it will use phone gyroscopes to move the motors using a bluetooth module.

Next course: 7th and 8th May (180 €)

What is the course about?

  • Introduction to external libraries

  • Installing and configuring libraries

  • Configuration and dynamic use of OLED display (128 × 64 pixel)

  • Configure and interact with RealTimeClock module

  • Measuring distances with Sonars

  • Measuring volume with a microphone

  • Basic configuration and dynamic usage of multicolor LEDs stripe (ws2812B)

  • Configuring and using servomotors

  • Development Android application for communicating with Arduino

Important Note: Attendees should bring a laptop
